Job Summary
At Summit K12 , we believe that every student can do well in school if instruction is tailored to their unique learning needs and they receive the encouragement to strive and achieve. Our learning programs provide teachers with the ability to differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and support learners in their journey toward success.

From English learners, multilingual students, bilingual students and dual language learners who are struggling to read or write, Summit K12’s online, standards-based supplemental curriculum will close gaps and ensure growth for all students.

We are hiring an Associate Project Manager (Contractor) who will serve as a key partner to our Product, Design, and Engineering teams. This role blends project coordination with light UX/UI design support , making it ideal for someone with a project management mindset and a creative eye. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, curious, and proactive—ready to jump in and make an impact from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Product and Design teams with Figma-based UI mockups, wireframes, and asset creation
  • Help maintain and organize Figma libraries and shared design systems
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and task prioritization in Jira and Monday.com
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and PMs to ensure smooth handoffs and successful implementation
  • Participate in user research, internal feedback sessions, and QA testing
  • Contribute to project documentation and process improvements
  • Assist in ensuring milestones and communication stay clear and up-to-date

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Figma—comfortable creating components, styles, and mockups

  • Familiarity with Jira, Monday.com, or similar project/task management tools

  • Strong interest in web-based product design and user experience

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn

  • Exposure to Agile workflows and/or experience in education technology or LMS platforms

  • Experience participating in user research or usability testing

  • A portfolio (personal, student, or freelance work) that demonstrates design thinking and creativity is a plus

Contract Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Compensation: $35-45/hr

  • Hours: 40 hours/week expected

  • Contract Duration: 6–12 months

  • Conversion Potential: Strong potential to transition to a full-time role
