Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Assists the Director of Medical Staff Services in implementing the activities of the Medical Staff in implementing the activities of the Medical Staff in coordination with the Medical Staff officers, departments and committee chairs and Administration and performs the credentialing of the medical staff/allied health professional affiliate applications/reapplications.

Required Qualifications: - Two years of secretarial experience, preferably in a medical staff office, hospital or healthcare setting.
- Administrative Skills: answer telephones, compose letters, coordinate meetings, input data into computer program, maintain filing systems, speed write and transcription
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications: - Certified Professional in Medical Staff management(CPMSM) or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services,
- Knowledgeable in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ECHO, credentialing computer applications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Physical Requirements: Vision requirements: near and far acuity, Auditory acuity, physical requirements: mostly sedentary, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs, light physical effort, good condition and manual dexterity. Must be able to sit for long periods.
