**Job Title: Electrical Estimator** **Job Description** The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive and align with industry standards. **Responsibilities** + Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. + Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. + Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information. + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and complete estimates. + Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing. + Prepare and present bid proposals to clients. + Track and analyze project costs to ensure estimates are within budget. + Assist in the negotiation of contracts and procurement of materials. + Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation. **Essential Skills** + Estimation + Electrical + Construction + Project Management **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are efficiently allocated. + Familiarity with electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical estimating software. + Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors. + Understanding of financial principles to accurately forecast costs and manage budgets. + Precision in reviewing plans and specifications to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for. + Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. + Ability to identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track. + Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations. + Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other team members. **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy profit sharing, a 401k plan, medical and dental benefits, PTO accrual of two weeks per year, and paid holidays. The Estimator will split time between field and office settings. The President is actively involved in both field and project management work, providing hands-on guidance and support. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Bay Area, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $90000.00/yr. - Profit sharing, 401k, medical/dental, PTO accrual (2 weeks per year), and holidays. - Asking about profit sharing (NOT ESOP). - Not a number, not a corporate feel, smaller tight-knit group. - Field foremen have been with them for over 10+ years. If they leave, it's for a better opportunity, and Bass has been a resume builder.
