Do you enjoy facilities or project management and thrive in an hybrid telework environment that allows you to  work from home and travel to different offices throughout California? If so, the Department of Industrial  Relations’ (DIR) Facilities Branch is looking for you! As a DIR Facility Analyst, you’ll provide facility planning and  management services for over 40 DIR statewide offices and assist with general maintenance services for over 450,000 leased square feet. Facilities Analysts manage multiple facilities-related projects ranging from minor  tenant improvements such as re-paint and installation of new floor coverings, to space planning for office moves  and new construction. You will manage a portfolio of leased sites for the Department and will have the  opportunity to work independently in a hybrid telework environment. You will also work collaboratively with the  Facilities Branch on large scale projects and occasionally travel to DIR offices.

The DIR Facilities Branch provides opportunities for creativity and problem-solving. You will join a team of  professionals supporting the DIR’s mission to improve working conditions for employees in California. You can  expect to engage with DIR stakeholders including our workers’ compensation, labor enforcement, and  Cal/OSHA teams. Candidates are eligible for hybrid telework. Candidates are expected to report in office four (4) days per week  effective July 1, 2025.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst classification is being appropriated for this position. If you have  list eligibility as a Associate Governmental Program Analyst it will be used to hire you as a Associate Business  Management Analyst Candidates with Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility must meet the  minimum qualifications for both Associate Governmental Program Analyst and Associate Business Management  Analyst. Working Conditions

There is only one position that may be filled in either Oakland or San Jose. If you are interested in the position at more than one location, please submit a separate application for each job control.

The incumbent works in a cubicle environment in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer, as necessary, for email communication, research, and other purposes. Being in a stationary position for long periods of time. Some travel is required to DIR offices and construction sites Statewide. Incumbent may be required to  push and pull items, work at sites that may nor may not be climate controlled.
