DCI, a distinguished leader in the furniture manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Shipping Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach their destinations safely and efficiently by overseeing the shipping operations and supervising a team of truck loaders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all activities associated with shipping, including the supervision of two truck loaders.
• Ensure accuracy of bill of ladings and other records to confirm that all pallets are correct before truck departure.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by stacking, counting, and tagging each load onto pallets.
• Load pallets onto trucks following a detailed load plan to ensure efficient and safe transportation.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately count individual parts during pallet preparation.
• Proficiency in reading and following a load plan.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed for late trucks.
• Comfort with prolonged periods of standing and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, as the factory can be warm during summer months and cool during winter.

Compensation

$21/hour + OT
